Well, I suspect that taking screenshots with Afterburner ultimately leads to crashes on my system so I'll will have to play it normally without taking any to see how stable it is. Generally, I only play this game for around an hour anyway so the crashes are not too much of an issue plus I save regularly too.
A little help please, I am very close to throwing my controller. I haven't played the main storyy and started with the second lost story where you play as the mexican woman. I can't even make it to the second ( or is it first ) save house. Which means I am constantly having to start from scratch. Is there any way to save at the place you start at, it is marked as a safehouse on the map but you can't go inside and the next one is so far away. I have tried grinding to get stronger before going to the save house that is through the subway but can't make it would dying every time, wtf. This game seriously has no checkpoints.
Just tried the game today, runs amazingly for me. Not sure why so many folk had issues with this game, must be a nvidia thing Lame that there is no same PC Co-OP though.
Even with 500 zombies in a 100 metre radius it runs at 60 solid. Looks pretty damn good as well but there is a shadow flicker bug in the game, I think it is caused by the frame rate being unlocked if you do it. I think they are going to patch it, it's a minor bug and it's easily ignored.
great game really enjoying it, look forwards to the day i have a gpu that can do it on ultra itself, using dual cards you gotta have shadows at low. didn't think i'd like it but it's real fab.
You have clearly misunderstood. :stewpid: The game apparently does not still work properly with sli setups. Or does it?
go to pc gaming wiki, the dr3 page. SLI is possible but only with shadows set to low. apart from that game runs fine.
i dunno if i ever played a game with so much attention to detail, all the items lying around and the many different things you can do with them for ex. or being trapped in a vehicle and seeing the dude bust outta the windscreen for the first time .. many cool weapons too, the other survivors, the mission, the corrupt gov, such a great game for sure. cpu demanding and gpu demanding, vram usage usually peaks around 2.5 -2.6gb. shame i can't max shadows so i'll have to return at a later date, gonna finish it though befores. character movement is good too as the dude can scale and jump over many things (and climb up on top), and the world is very well made with max detail.
Two months later. 5 patches released. Still can't get a frame rate above 20fps no matter the settings. And to think I used to praise Capcom for their gift of releasing the best PC ports. No longer. Not after this POS release, well it is for me at least.
They could - should - have tested it better but the development was done by another studio I believe and it's their own engine instead of Capcoms MT Framework but it could still have been better optimized since the developers obviously have full source code and all required tools to rewrite the engine as required although I guess this was more about speed than quality or what to call it, getting it released as soon as possible and all that.
