Game is currently unlocking....
just played for like 20 min and for some reason I get annoying stuttering and low gpu usage which is probably the cause
I'll have it on the WE if i'm lucky
Oh well, still in the middle of DeusEx so i'm not really complaining.
screens pretty please ????
I must say that either they got lazy with the settings or what but when I saved max settings I went to the config file to find out that it was still set at 1280x720... shaders were using 3.0 and not 4.0 and AA and everything else was disabled. Me and my bro have been playing around with settings and it looks 10x better...
Alright so my bro and I have been tweaking some stuff, feel free to edit it and test it yourself.. it looks wayyy better than default settings (that dont save).
Backup/copy your old settings.
Rename Video.scr to Video.txt or edit Video.scr on a textpad
Shopto have sent mine out. For those in the UK looking for someone to team up with to play once it unlocks here please add me on Steam.......
Here is a few WhiteLighting but I'll be posting more later.
I think I fixed some of the low gpu usage and the stuttering went away when I chose sp.Also this game is like borderlands but only with zombies and other survivors.
thanks  looks great
hmmm the new COJ has put me off buying this, il wait to see some more reviews and maybe a "demo"
BTW, if the SLI usage seems crap, Renaming deadisland.exe through nvidiainspector to deadislandgame.exe may fix it.
So that thing about them mistakenly publishing the dev build was true it seems.
What, did they forget to put the DRM into it?
It's the development version and thus it has a number of debug functions from noclip to third person camera mode and the source code for several files are included plus MP isn't really working either as it's not fully enabled in this build.
It's neat to have this functionality (Shame about the MP though.) but the affected files will all have to be redownloaded when it's fixed so this might mean some problems for those with slower connections or limited bandwidth as well.
Doesn't affect me much as I'll just wait until Friday instead of unlocking it now via VPN, better to have it fully fixed before doing anything.
What a massive **** up, on the otherhand these files could be used for modding.
well I guess that's why the game ran like crap when I had coop enabled.I don't mind just single player style but still get stutters off and on.put aside those issues I'm enjoying the game a lotand still completing quests and finaly got my ripper built.
Eh yo Johnnyboi around what FPS are you getting?
about 70-120 on max. never seen it get below that unless my gpu usage goes down to 12-20.
I've yet to see it drop below 90 FPS (usually sits around 130 FPS) on my signature rig. This is with the tweaks listed here: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?p=24894309#post24894309
The Crossfire fix boosted my FPS up to 200+ so I decided to use the 4096 shadows and it still runs great.

lol i bet AnisotropicTrilinear doesn't stick like with COJ2 or Naile'd.. Typical crome engine fluke...
