Well it's on a continent, which is just a really really big island work with them here.
Escade Dead Island announced.
Finally.. A survival game by a real developer and not 10000 Early Access titles on Steam all striving to out Early Access each other
I'm waiting so hypped!!
Sorry, but... a "real developer"... who are "Fatshark"?
And, while I'll probably get this, the trailer for it looks.... questionable to say the least.
Perhaps he thought it was being done by Techland, they don't have the rights so they are doing Dying Light instead whereas Deep Silver used Fatshark to develop this.
EDIT: They did Krater, that was a pretty fun game, plus some others.
(Including Bionic Commando Re-armed 2 but that was console exclusive unlike the first game.)
Loved Dead Island, loved Dead Island Riptide and yeah I know loads of folk were butt hurt over the whole Dead Island vs the Dead Island preview video
but you know what who cares, I still loved the games and I love the Dead Island 2 preview video as well and you know what if it's more Dead Island but bigger better and prettier (as pretty as chopping up the living dead can be) chances are I'll love it as well, so yeah can't wait to see more.
Not so sure about Dead Island Epidemic though.
Exactly what I thought..
Yeah, Techland are currently working on Dying Light and Hellraid.
They've also hinted at another Call of Juarez game in the Gunslinger storyline. Which would be awesome.
Deep Silver own the Dead Island IP, as part of the deal with Techland for the publishing of the game.
So, that's why Techland started Dying Light instead of doing a sequel to Dead Island.
As is, my interest in this new "Escape Dead Island" only comes from the fact that's Dead Island. The trailer doesn't look good to me at all.
I'm holding out hope that Yager can deliver on Dead Island 2.
Sunshine & Slaughter
EDIT: Four screenshots.
Only being pre-alpha I hope it gets fine tuned, but... the melee combat looks a bit lacking.
But, it looks interesting.
Gameplay looks fake to me, but I hope I'm wrong, looks pretty good.
Imo whole thing looks kinda fake, too bright and that motion blur is so so also..
Not really the best case of U4E.
Wonder what Rocksteady could do with UE4 in a Batman game
UE4 makes this a pre-order if possible, anything else is bonus, so long as it's not 24/7 quick time events.
Deep Silver "removes" Spec Ops: The Line developer Yager from Dead Island 2.
I can't say I'm horribly disappointed, as the footage shown did little to get me excited.
It lacked the force and "umph" of the melee combat of the first game, and it seemed to focus a LOT on guns. Though, I was excited to have Yager behind it. They did great with the story on The Line.
Hope the reason behind this comes out.
Was just about to post this. My take - what the hell? :3eyes:
Techland ftw loved the first dead Island and dying light, this should be of the same quality.
Techland themselves need to handle DI2. After Dying light, its going to take some skill to top it and while i think YAGER did an amazing job with Spec Ops The line, i really dont think this is the game for them to be working on and itll probably end up causing them more harm than good if they were to carry on with the deving of DI2 if it doesnt live up to Techlands own work.
