excellent Chispy!ive talked to the gskill rep over at xs a few times to verify ics and he was very helpful.ive also seen threads that hes helped push the rma process along for folks(i was very impressed with his results).imo gskill and crucial have probably got the best cs in the memory realm.

p35-c ds3r but my system is not ready jet, still outside the case!

yep man having a hard time, the modules are expensive here in dk!

the ballistix runned well but in cl5 only. Now I wat to see if the CellShock can run in cl4! They should, they cost the double! :bolt:

those cellshock are indeed very nice modules.so i would say they should likely run cas4 no prob depending on the speed your looking at running.what speed are you trying to hit?

that´s the thing! ballistix could do 1116 at cl5

I believe I ****ed the ballistix in 2 days but i have 14 days trial so i can give em back

Hope cellshock can do the same or at least 1100 cl4

    That´s enough for me!

Those should do cl4 without a problem....Mine do,As maxfly said could be a faulty module,Or seeing you said they ran for two days you may have run to much voltage through them??:bolt:

at 1100 youll be hard pressed to get either to do cas4 without overvolting them.youll probably need 2.4-2.5v to maintain cas4 at 1100.mine wont do cas4 above 8000 speeds without jacking the voltage up(i dont recommend that for 24/7 use).

Thx man i apreciate your help! I have ballistix ddr500 running in my old amd and they get 2.85 and they clock very well with tight timings!

I,m mounting the cellshock in the new pc today, then i,ll try to rich 1100 without that much voltage. I have to build some kind of ram cooling device!

here are my ressults! they are running 2.3 should i give em more

oh man I don´t know why the cellshock wont go over 1066 exactly 1066, and I know the can do more! :bounce:

I gave them voltage, changed timings, reduced timing, nothing helps

they run at 1066 maybe is the mobo limiting me, i have f2 bios!

pd: pc won´t boot if i go over 1066!

if your running the same cpu those gskill should be fine tbh.if you are looking for something to overclock a bit higher,i would look at some crucial ballistix 8500s.they are the most consistant ocers ive seen.

the ballistix seems to have a problem with the gigabyte p35 ds3r concerning voltages. Seems like they cant go over 2.1v. Anything over that in the bios monitoring says fail. Dont know bout other rams but i will test a few later on.
