Completed the game, worth every penny, had a blast!
Did you try it and did it help?
Haven't yet resumed my playthrough, dipped to Cyberpunk in between.
Yea it makes little to no difference. Sorry I didn't update my post I have been busy at work recently. The game is still fun though, just hope they will address this widespread issue.
Thanks for the info!
I know I (have) start(ed) sounding like a broken record regarding Doom Eternal, not to mention it's off topic, but that game is truly exceptionally optimized.
Not a single darn hitch, absolutely rock solid, locked framerate as long as hardware can handle it.
Likely not least due to how well it's multithreaded, seeing even usage on all 16 threads.
Every time some stutters arise in other games, particularly ones that otherwise run well like Days Gone, I appreciate id software's creation even more.
(Yes I know open world vs. strict linear isn't a fair comparison.
On the other hand though Eternal has so much stuff happening at once at breakneck speed you almost expect it to fall apart...)
Yea their engine is literally my fav engine out there at the moment. It's truly a masterpiece of engineering and easy for others to pick up and do their own thing like with the Wolfenstein games which also play exceptionally well. I was so hoping that Bethesda would of used it for FO4 or other ES or FO games but they didn't.
UE4 tweaks performance visuals and stutter fix
HOW TO INSTALL IT CORRECTLY:
1:Unzip the file
2: Copy the contents into AppData\Local\BendGame\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor over-riding all folders (PLEASE MAKE SURE for the love of God save your folders in case you need to revert at some stage)
3: All files except for the GameUserSettings.ini MUST be kept 'READ ONLY"
4:GameUserSettings.ini is where you adjust your resolution, language, sound etc etc ....so do it within the game or alter it directly.
5: THAT IS IT.
Night and day
Resumed play and really digging it!
Btw the worst fps drops by far for me happen at or around Copeland's camp, drop to 60 from usual 110 ... 120.
Input lag increases too and I dare say more than just from the increased frametime.
This game is really strange, the stutter in the later portions of the game are near unbearable.
Yet AMD control panel reports "excellent" performance with only 8ms 95th percentile
Yet MSI AB shows the frame times being all over the place.
The MSI AB graph looks extremely bad, but during normal gameplay the feel of the game is perfectly fine and the frame rate is high well over 100fps the vast majority of the time like AMD control panel states. The game seems to suffers from a weird skips especially when riding and barely happen when on foot.
The stutters don't even match up with MSI AB graph, these kind of stutter spikes would be felt massively but they occur for a fraction of a millisecond and what else is weird is that the framerate stays high, for a frame time of 33.3ms you should be getting 30fps or 16.6ms should be 60fps but this is not what is displayed on screen, the frame rate stays super high but the stutters in the frame times is completely off. That game either needs a patch or AMD needs to implement a driver fix but I am not sure its AMD driver problem as I have read reports on other forums from Nvidia users experiencing the same issue.
This is the only game that shows this sort of thing, I have played countless hours of Witcher 3, Horizon Zero Dawn, GTA V, and other large open world games and nothing does anything like this.
I suspect the port has not been optimized for higher framerates at least.
Plus I'm starting to think it doesn't run as well as it could on Ryzen as often fps drops seem to coincide with a core peaking at 100 %.
Unless Intel users get the same.
Just finished as well, great game and runs flawless loved every minute of it.
For those of you who think there's not enough blood, guts and gore in the game:
Yesterday I started playthrough Days Gone on PC(finished the game on PS5),what I can say is, its very sensitive to OC or at least on RTX 3090 as every Unreal game, just tested my usual stable OC with 105MHz on core and crashed within 10 minutes and for while used +75MHz on core and 1295MHz on VRAM but still that game pulls crazy wattage hahaha, with KPE XOC 1000W BIOS at 75% I was hitting power limits, at 80-85% I didn't hit power limit
Hope this helps

There's people actually enjoying this terrible game?
There's people enjoying this fantastic, fun and engaging game.
Interesting, given the update seemed to be 10 GB in size. Maybe that updated localization.
Looks cool, but more than combat I noticed the really vibrant graphics.
Could be done in post for the video but the description did mention one Reshade mod that by and large seems to achieve that effect:
Gonna try it out asap.
I get the bleak look is a design choice but it does make the image look a bit washed out.
