Patch wont download for me, restarted Steam several times, hmm...guess i have to verify files to get the patch, sigh. Edit: Verfied files, it didnt...and just went straight to dl the patch,..mkay... https://steamdb.info/patchnotes/5999269/ @CPC_RedDawn Always check steamdb to be sure - you can also see what files are updated. History is also nice to check - https://steamdb.info/app/1091500/history/
Patch download was weird for me on GOG too, thought it stopped, then suddenly jumped from 200+ MB to full download yet with 60% progress, before it applied the patch and finished eventually.
Spoiler I'm still learning new things.... I've even got weapons in my inventory that I can't use yet because not ranked high enough haha.
Mine refused to tell me how big it was or when it would finish until about 1/4 through, then it said 2GB. It downloaded the full 2GB.
Theres a higher quality tweak been found https://forums.thefpsreview.com/thr...e-that-subtly-increases-level-of-detail.4240/ Summary, add -qualityLevel=Cinematic_RTX to the shortcut/launch options.
I dunno but this patch seems to have sorted the jittery pop-in for me, same as the memory pool fix done.
Not sure, I'm inflicted with the punishment endowed by a rather special port my brother sent me, I'm not clear what is real atm. Its surprising I had the clarity to understand and even post anything lol. I'll posit motion blur is one of the effects I am perceiving.
Hopefully this can be tweaked to remove the blur, seen 9.5gb vram after just a minute in-game. Enjoy your port bro.
So i was not the only one,..to find that strange. Try verify game files like i did, that did the trick and the files werent even verified at all (like it usually does when you verifiy the files).
I can't scan this glass and i can't progress? (don't worry about spoilers i'm very early in still) Spoiler sry nvm i forgot you could move around in BD editor.
Made a video using this cinematic_rtx option, looks like there's a couple changes happening, one of which being highest LODs of meshes are used, i don't know if it's a simple LOD bias or it forces LOD0, but overall it looks better. It applies to geometry, might apply to textures as well. You tend to see more popping in when objects are spawned also.
