Are you using a customized res (dldsr or similar)? That might be the cause. PS: pretty disappointed from this update. I guess I'll just forget the game and play it again as Phantom Liberty comes out. There's still much to fix and they focused on enabling a feature 1% of people can actually use. No bug fixing, no AI overhaul, and so on. It's good they are going to use another engine after this.
Great news, their work on the HD Reworked Project on Witcher 3 was amazing, so without doubt it will be a great addition to Cyberpunk.
This why PC gaming is so friggin awesome!! The mods and utilities we get to use just enhances the experience. I just played with DLSS 3 in Cyberpunk and was very impressed. The visual differences can be seen but the technology still does an amazing job! These extra tools and utilities makes me extremely happy I returned to PC gaming. DLSS DLL 2.5.1, frame generation, FSR, XESS, Mods and soooo many other utilities just put my experiences over the top. Cyberpunk has come a looong way and now it's just the gift that keeps on giving. As I've stated before, the sound is another aspect of this game's technical prowess. Dolby Atmos is outstanding with Cyberpunk. Definitely looking forward to the HD Reworked Project. It looks fantastic. I wonder what the framerate hit will cost? To be honest it looks so good I don't care. The current PC hardware pricing fiascos are a true disappointment because it is excluding many people from sharing and enjoying the technical wonders presented to us. I despise that! For those of us that have the hardware, let's be thankful, experiment, benchmark, share results and most importantly.....play the game!
Have we got the psycho ray tracing they've been talking about since the launch of the 4xxx yet? I see videos but I can't find a direct answer.
No, RT overdrive is nowhere to be found - they threw DLSS3 ahead and likely anything else will come with 1.7 which although has no date set, will likely come along the expansion. TL;DR it's still ways off.
Havent touched the game for over a year, so a bit out of the loop re the 1.60-1 patch changes. Glad to see CDPR still quite active in fixing and improving things (or not?). Thought this was funny:
I haven't checked, but there has to be mods that take the games RT further than whats available through the in-game menu already no? Or just pumping various ini settings manually to simulate what we can expect?
There are tweakable aspects but quite sure you simply cannot raise ray per pixel count, which is the main thing the mode is supposed to do. At least for reflections. Either way there's some things they could do along with it, like finally not making the player be a vampire in RT reflections. I still don't get why they are fine with player casting shadow and having visible wonky anims but at the same time having reflections of a model doing same wonky anims is a no-no.
Tried Frame Generation today and holy moly, what a huge difference. I easily get double fps in one of the markets and that's with full RT. Crazy! This warrants a new playthrough.
Well, lol - it just inserts interpolated frames between the real ones... so yes, it's double, but it's not actually higher fps.
