Another reason to jump on the raytracing bandwagon. It's definitely one of the best looking games I've ever seen. Also just look at the artwork and level of detail by CDPR, absolutely amazing.

This! Until games will run ray tracing at acceptable fps on anything else than high end gpus, i won't be interested. Not going to spend over 1k on a gpu even if i can afford to. I've seen people on reddit recommending rtx2060 for RT when you can't run anything ray traced on that gpu with acceptable fps.

Not impressed by Lighting as I saw similar many times ago. Reflections could as well been planar and nobody would know any better on most places.

But I liked that plastic curtain. Is that DX-R based? Wonder if it is affected by physics too.

What I really dislike is huge difference between level of details from object to object. Having some blurry mess next to something with detailed geometry with complex shader is really weird.

I generally do not buy gameworks games as they really have bad IQ to performance trade off and often horrid bugs on both AMD's and nVidia's platforms.
I may in time do same for RTX games unless they are done via DX-R without nVidia's involvement.

For now, those things can't be enabled on AMD's HW, therefore implementation has to ensure that entire DXR stuff can be turned off. In contrast to that gameworks games almost always kept something ON regardless of settings.

Issue here is that Metro had some really gimped out DX-R OFF scenes. I wonder if CDPR is going to take proper care for all lightning methods. I was tempted to preorder, but not with questionable tech.

Yeah Cyberpunk is like this unicorn game to me now. After the Witcher series I was already super hyped, but then all the things we learned since, and the Keanu reveal (love John Wick), and now RT. I'm so glad I rebuilt my system in anticipation for this title, that 2080 Ti purchase will truly shine for me at that moment. :)

Hope my Msi RTX 2080 Ventus will be enough to get 60fps at 1080p, max settings would be nice but even my pc cant do that with watch dogs 2 and keep 60fps but then that is Ubisoft for that game lol

    Keep dreaming ;)

    [edit]

In fact maybe you're right maybe it will require a Titan RTX instead.

I can see the RT reflections like BF5 being very impactful on an atmospheric game with lots of city lights at night and skyscrapers. It's a perfect fit.

Blaming a toolset for what is essentially the developers inability to optimize is so basic.

    Hopefully it'll run with RTX on a 2080ti at 30fps at 1080p

No, you will need the 2080 Ti Super.

First game I've got the impression that could really benefit from RT.

Looks nice. Maybe by the time it's released there will be hardware that can handle it :p

"Optimize" usually means to water down. There's only so much that smart coding can do to alleviate a bottleneck, especially for hardware features that are extremely computation-heavy. This is especially true for PC games, which can have a wide variety of configurations.
