Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will receive free next-generation improvements in late 2021, according to CD Projekt Red, assuring users who had been looking forward to them and worried ab... Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3 next-gen versions confirmed by CDPR
It just means a version optimized for the "next gen" consoles (PS5, Xbox Series X). Its not really made very clear in the article.
From the article: "...the PS5 and Xbox Series are currently running on the PS4 and Xbox One versions, respectively..."
I more eager to see the Witcher 3 with ray tracing and HDR on PC, rather than Cyberpunk 2077 updates to come. There are some flaws or lacks they will never fix, add or modify.
But everything I've heard so far is that the game runs so bad on PS4/XB1 because it's really made to run on PS5/XBwhateverthefuckitscalled.
Yep, and if possible with 21:9 support for cutscenes. The flaws of CP2077 are too fundamental in nature, they would have to remake the game basically to "fix it". That being said, I liked it, it's decent (it just was way, waaay too ambitious for its own good), but it pales in comparison to TW3.
Yes, I'm particularly interested in a decent HDR treatment for W3--don't really care about RT. What I read some time ago is that the update to Witcher 3 had been farmed out to another company to do--still is, AFAIK. And recently, I read that CDPR had hired a bunch of modders to upgrade Punk 77. I'm hoping CDPR is doing these things to free up the company to work on a Witcher 4 game...but it almost looks like Witcher 3 was a one-off for CDPR, and something they may never equal in the future. I surely hope not, but I confess that CDPR seems a much different company today from the one that shipped the Witcher games to date, as of 2015.
I had totally forgotten about TW3 RT update until the Boss posted this today. Got Batman AK installed gonna finally finish it, not been gaming for a couple months back on track now tho. Just been too damn warm over here in sunny Scotland. *i've not enjoyed the weather this summer personally.
Obviously I understood it, hence having the ability to inform someone else of said fact. All I'm saying is that the article could've led with that fact, or even have the headline say it. Instead of calling it "next-gen versions", just call it "next-gen console versions", and there would be no possible confusion. Its always good to have all key information available right away. Otherwise, who knows if they plan another next-gen update for Witcher 3, which would be great? No, its just the same thing for consoles.
The new consoles will allow the game to run better due to the extra ommph they have, hence making it look like CP2077 is now fixed, so they can now sell it at next gen prices. lol
Meant for the other guy. Not sure why it quoted you and not him. I mean yeah. I see your comment and that is weird as I spoke to the other guy asking.
