Indeed, for professional use I rather go with a renown brand which gives me an onsite business warranty than going for something that I can build myself. K600 is also a crap card, Nvidia shouldn't be allowed to make them.
it look like a gamer chassis... bad point (ok my work chassis is orange... but i like this color and there was some paint left after i painted my track car ) about the K600 i am not agree... it depend on the use you need it. pro don't do always 3d or computation... the facturation service where i work, just need a PC that run 24/7 with 0 error c1: (and can run plant vs zombie for the girl doing it but shhh it's a secret lol) .
It is a gamer chasis http://www.nzxt.com/product/detail/143-h440-performance-mid-tower.html I know that the K600 isn't meant for heavy stuff, but just try the K600 with Photshop, the K600 sucks balls compared to desktop cards around the same price level, GTX750Ti as example will give you so much more performance on desktop level. You mention reliability, noticed that they ship it with gaming memory and not ECC which is something real workstations come with? Just that already puts question to the rest of the components used.
the K600 is more or less like the NVS serie... when you just need display. power and ECC are not needed here. it's true that even a 640 can beat it and cost lot less... BUT it have 50% of chance to die before you have voted credit to replace the card. So if it happen you will have to call maintenance and it can cost you a lot to turn off your computer while you change the GPU card. as you see it's not aimed at the same consumer and the price follow this logic. i am changing tesla when i go to see my boss it wasn't "how much?" but "what do you need?"...
