Yeah, that was the strangest video card model name I've ever seen. Sapphire went all out with it.

If the price is like that, now it really makes fully sense why 5600 is rumored about having only 6gb vram. To be placed "smoothly" between 5500xt and 5700-non-xt.

Here 1650S is selling below 200€. I don't know if the 8Gb is appealing enough to pay 40/50€ more, It sure isn't for me!
    I'm gaming at 1080p, AMD better have a sub 200€ 4Gb version...

$210 for a 128 bit card? I don't think so. The 5600 XT is the only card in this segment worth taking a look at.

...and the story does not stop here:
The only difference is higher operating clock for the XT vs Non-XT but the same amount of Stream Processors.
It seems that AMD has difficulties to fully die Navi and it keeps the best silicon for apple.

The leaks indicate performance about the 580 levels and they are going to sell it about the same msrp as the 580 ? .....no just no.

As I've mentioned, the 5600 XT is the only card that is interesting.

Or just buy the 1650s and save power/heat too.

In the 200-250€ price bracket is where easy majority of users are interested.
    I'll explain.
Not everyone moved to 2K 4K, there is a huge amount of users at 1080p.
So, in this bracket maybe some user will game intensely, but sometimes it's more browsing, editing, not intensive GPU workloads.
So, better to have a frugal GPU able to sip a few Watts while idle, but able to offer good gameplay at 1080p.
So, 1650 fits the bill, and RX 580-590.
But AMD, as every company wants the best biggest revenue for their chips, so they focus on 5700 and their clients Microsoft, Sony, Apple.
My hope that at CES 2020 they will announce their new APUs line and the rumoured 5600.
Of course, you can heartily disagree, it's your right to voice your opinion

I don't think anybody would disagree. Just look at the Steam hardware survey and the majority of people are using 1060 and 1050's.

1650S is like 50$ more than rx570. No worth it i think.

Lower power consumption, lower heat, newer tech and not needing two PCIe leads are all reasons the 1650s may be a better buy in this case.

And not there is only a $20 difference between the 570 and 1650s most decent 4GB 570's are $130-140 the 1650s's are $150-160.

I picked my Sapphire rx570 Pluse itx up for £95, its faster by up to 25%in some cases than a GTX 1650 its a no brainer, considering the Polaris tech is around 2 years old and still beating new "mid range/Buget cards".

the 1650S would make a lot of sense if it was a low profile card, but for 20-30$ more than the average 570 while being somewhat slower and aimed at the same type of build which already has ample cooling-space-psu its just hard to make the argument
