Do you guys know where I can find links to websites or forums where it shows you how to tweak Crysis to improve performance? The only forum I know of so far is Incrysis.

I reckon the incrysis forum will give you more than the tweakguides will! IMO, ive looked about a bit and the Incrysis forum has the best tweaking info.

This seems to optimize most things.

Texture streaming helps a lot and allows me to play this game maxed out in dx10 at 1280x720 and still be playable.

i trust tweakguides more but i havnt compared configs nor tried any. game looks fine for me. i have mixture of both med and high. i tried dx9 hack and it wasnt noticable unless everything was high but was alot less playable.

i was wondering if anyone else has the problem were the game freezes for 15+ seconds when you open the map? and overall seems to run like crap for me.

demo btw..does the full game have all the bugs worked out?

appears exactly teh same, however what bugs are you talking about? i havnt seen much really, saw some AI do stupid stuff.....saw one guy walk across the bridge and got his foot stuck inbetween the boards and fell off...lol that was a funny bug if you call it that, other things like that, nothing major.

Where exactly do you find the system.cfg file

U can find it in there: http://www.incrysis.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=11614&p=1
U create a .txt in which U paste some tweak found then U save it in the config directory with system.cfg name and as all type of files.

i didnt know that, so this single system.cfg file bypass's all the others when you put it in?
so its essentially all the various configs into one file thats tweaked right?

Could all those commands not simply be placed in an autoexec.cfg file?

Here is my autoexec.cfg file settings. I play using DX9 mode, as it allows better performance with these settings. For some reason, if I use DX10, the framerates tank... Im sure because there is something in these settings that disagrees with it... Anyway, I find DX9 to be just as pretty, and runs better - although, memory usage does tend to be higher...

    Here it goes:

    Code:

I may have edited this a bit since (this file is on my work machine) - I'll double check once I get home and make any corrections.

With this, I can achieve 30-40fps in most areas :)

hi guys, I will be very apreciated if you help me... I have the pc you can see on my left side of profile and I would like to know what is the best tweak config with stable fps (like 30 +/-) and good graphics.. I can play the game at maxium 1280x1024... I actually play the game at 1024x768 shaders and physics on high, sound on medium and the rest on low mode... and on drivers of nvidia at high perfomance and yes I have the pc well configured and with that beta drivers to boost perfomance on crysis..
