    Hey guys

    Ill make it tl;dr:
    Crysis 2, maximum edition:
DX11 performance stutters (high frame rates, but stuttery with rubberbanding) no matter which settings I choose.
DX9 works 1920x1080, high res textures, all bells and whistles, smooth as a baboons behind (assuming baboons behinds are smooth, not sure about that)

Is there a fix for this?
    PC used:
    intel 2500k, 8gb ram, 6950 dirt3 edition.
    All latest drivers and stuff.
    No other game shows stuttering.

    Thanks
    SmNoamLs

Edit: I removed the 6970 bios and back to 6950

My computer is plenty powerful enough :)
I know there is a specific problem with ati 6950 and crysis 2, but I hoped some clever guru here has a clever fix.

The cpu isnt pushing more than 50% at most times (no core maxed out), and ram barely passing the 2.5gb with plenty left over.
My HDD is a very fast SSD, so I KNOW its the ati issue.
    I just need a fix :(

Stutters for me too, oddly enough it didn't stutter when I had my old monitor with another cable. But with DVI cable it stutters and the refresh rate is stuck at 50Hz

    How right you are :
The problem is more prevalent on my HDMI connected tv.
I wanted to write that the problem only appeared with the latest patch, but then again, thats a given. Thats the dx11 patch :)

I had some DX11 issues with my 6950, and I fixed them with Maldo's HD upgrade. He fixed some of the tessellated models etc.

So try that and see if it works.

Can I just install that mod over the high res patch ?
    Is it better looking?

Yeah you can install it over it. I'm pretty sure you have to anyway for it to work.

It looks amazing, give it a shot. There's a thread about it somewhere...

Toggle the v sync on then off or the other way around to get 60MHz refresh rate.
use the command r_PostMSAA = 0 to get things a little smoother, (open console with this key `),shaders in this game are very unoptimized too.
I'm very familiar with this game,
    here's my config:
