    Yes, give Crytek a ring and tell them to release a performance patch fast :)

    Disable desktop compositions and visual themes in game short cut.

    Disable Aero. Update drivers. Defrag hard drive.

    The _installer content contains DirectX and VC++ 2010 redistributable files, it does also contain a log file and two exe files that maintain installation, registry paths, uninstall and such but it doesn't do a actual install, they're command line files used by the Origin client. :)

    MSAA 8x is broken in this game? AA look horrible on a GTX680 with everything MAX out w/ Motion Blur Disabled.

    FXAA with everything MAX w/motion blur disabled run fantastic, but lose of details. I'm going to try out SMAA tonight.

    Jesus christ. This has to be the prettiest game ever to grace my PC. Such beauty. They give you the bow way too early though, it's kind of an uber weapon. Would have liked to work a bit more to earn it.

    Yep, but to be honest I couldn't improve on what was already there. You have to put files in bin folder and base folder. Th on/off function doesn't work for some reason.

    WOW what a demanding game!
    Game looks awesome!
    At 1920*1200 the game fully maxxed out with 8xmsaa im getting 35fps in some spots but normally is around 45fps.

    It shoots back up to 60 fps in some places.

    Definitely a game that will stress your card and is easily up there with the likes of Metro2033.

    Crysis as THE benchmark is back!!

    So I've finally played crysis 3 and im pleasantly surprised. At 1080p+fxaa and high details single 680GTX plays that game really smooth, 60 fps average (adaptiv vsync) and min 50. On the other side, VH detalis makes that game very demanding, here single 680GTX struggles, my average fps is 35-45 (in some places 60). Visually the most obvious difference between high and Vhigh settings is tesselation (especially trees). Maybe after some tweaks it would be possible to play with tesselation with 45-60fps :).. will see

    BTW- TXAA in crysis 3 makes details very burry, it looks almost like subhd title. I'm totally disappointed with this TXAA

    Set everything to high and then exit game. Make an autoexe and enter the following line.

    r_SilhouettePOM = 1

    This way you can play on high with tessellation.
    Make sure the autoexe is in the base folder.

    You can also increase ambient occlusion by entering

    r_ssdo = 2

    I think this is usually only available in very high options.

    Just finished the game i really liked the story but it was a bit short tho and actually i found it pretty confusing after jumping in directly into C3 without replaying C1 and C2 in a long time.

    Performance was great after i installed the latest WHQL drivers, played it from the beginning on Very High and SMAA 2x without any significant fps issues, i didn't measured it but i actually i didn't have to need too cause it felt very smooth so i guess the frames were at least in the 40-50 fps average area. Played with V-Sync on cause with off i had some serious jerky mouse.

    Weird. people usually need 2 gtx 680 or a 690 to play it on very high settings and have good fps. I can't play it on very high myself. it becomes unplayable sometimes.

    Join the club :( I just started using 4xTXAA with a little bit of sharpening to offset the blur. No complaints here...
