Uhm yep seems much more smoother, at least is less prone to framedrops...the lowest ive got is 45fps with everything maxed out this time (except shadowing, to very high) and smaa2x.
    Its around 50-57 fps now.

Well lets hope that AMD will bring out a decent driver for Crysis 3 too!

I'm not that much into the game yet but i'm currently on 1.85gb of vram without using any AA, and i've not heard the cpu fan much so i don't suppose it's a cpu killer.
I suspect vram issue perhaps, unfortunately. Dunno but.

Tried to capture one of the most visually stunning moments of the game (for me) in a massive, vertical panorama.

Flip your monitor in portrait mode :p

Take screenshots and compare? That's pretty much personal preference so long as your system can handle all of them.

What is this new SLI flag please? I'd like to try it out myself tonight. Thanks.

TXAA 4x offers arguably the best all-round anti-aliasing solution IMO compared with any of the other options followed by MSAA 8x, 4x, 2x and then SMAA 2x. The performance hit with TXAA 4x is high though and it requires more VRAM as does MSAA (which doesn't remove aliasing from alpha transparencies such as meshes and foliage). I've found the best compromise for now is either TXAA 2x or SMAA 2x.

Oddly, I played the game briefly this morning with SMAA 2x and everything else on Very High except for Motion Blurring on High and it ran at 35-45 fps on average and felt very smooth. I suspect the bad framerate dips I was getting were from TXAA exceeding my card's 2 GB of VRAM. It pains me though to not be able to use a feature that is specific to my graphics card. SMAA 2x looks OK but nowhere near as nice as TXAA or MSAA to my old eyes.

    @ darrensimmons - Thanks. :)

depends on level. 45ish in some areas, 55+ most of the time.

    Hi Guru3D members!

I expected better performance with my rig. Just started playing the second level and the fps is all over the place.

Feel like the game is struggling to keep 60 fps, the worst fps measured is 23 (right after you get the bow and open the door downstairs).

    My settings
    1920x1080
    Very High
    Texture: High

Don't worry, we are getting this especially sli users. Its a problem with the physics in the game, the rope especially. It does get allot better after the first few levels so until; there is a patch not allot we can do.
