    ????
    Where do you see the "bad" performance?

    Anyone getting flickering on certain textures like windshields on cars and ground texture pop-in? Its terrible now

    This is a very good point, I will try and see and if Hi Rez Textures hold me from running in Eyefinity, I will dump it (or can it be adjusted ?)

    I can't play anything with a single monitor anymore :nerd:

    As for Tessellation :

    If Tessellation really kills the performance with Crysis 2 , all AMD owners can set the Tessellation slider in CCC to 6 or 4 or even 2 and stick with what gives best performance without noticable IQ loss , it could give a very good performance boost

    nVIDIA can't do the same thing :wanker:

    Edit :

    From the above chart we can se that :

    -AMD CF scaling is better than nVIDIA SLI

    -HD6900 could get a very good performance boost with a new driver or Catalyst Application Profile because HD6970 should be at least 30% faster than HD5870 ;)

    can you please post some images showing the difference between settings ?

    thanks in advance!

    Here's some screenshots I took after installing the patch 1.9, DX11 patch and high-quality textures pack. Framerate as fluctuating a lot, but CFX seems to be working (well, I guess it is, didn't played with single-gpu yet)

    Using now 2x HD 6950@6970 and Catalyst 11.6 (no CAPS installed), Crysis 2 @ ultra mode/DX11/high-res textures enabled

    (images on spoiler)

    I am still downloading the updates (patch+dx11 update+High Rez Texture pack) Internet speed sucks here in Egypt :(

    I did a comparison some time ago with Unigine Heaven Extreme Tessellation and performance increase was very good and IQ was not affected (the difference only appeared in wireframe)

    A friend of mine made some screenshots comparing the old and the new Crysis 2 (screenshots took using 2x GTX 480 in SLI)

    And how do I exactly do that? I'd love to improve my performance a bit without sacrificing lots of tesselation.

    By the way, I have been comparing screenshots of AMD cards VS Nvidia cards, and even both setups run the game at ultra maxed out, the ones from AMD look a lot better.

    I think Nvidia may be cheating and using lower quality tesselation and dynamic lighting, thus making performance a lot better on Nvidia cards.

    Here's an example;

    6970 CF:

    GTX570 SLI:

    The quality looks a lot better in the AMD cards, that might be the issue here, i think Nvidia is cheating. :)

    Thanks japamd, but i was wondering about the images using different settings of tesselation in ccc.

    @r9800pro
    No worries, maybe you can show them later ?

    Oh, sorry dude. I don't have pictures, but other friend of mine told me that even at tess level 8x there are IQ differences, he's running Crysis 2 with an HD 6950.

    @kcuestag: it's hard to tell comparing two highly compressed images, don't you think? Besides that, NVIDIA hardware clearly has an advantage over AMD on Crysis 2 since the beginning, nothing changed. Don't forget NVIDIA thrown 2 million dollars over Crytek to get the game optimized for 3D vision and, of course, for NVIDIA hardware.

    Which number should I choose? X32?

    Try it out. 32 might be too high. I think even Heaven uses less than 16.

    What does "AMD Optimized" use? I want to lower it a bit but still keep Tesselation vissible.

    AMD Optimized is not yet effective as there is no profiles in the drivers

    The slider gives you the ability to lower tessellation level without disabling it (only choosing "off" will disable it)

    AMD has done that because nVIDIA could force a game developper to use 64x Tessellation for example to cripple AMD's performance in that title while the actual tessellation that appears in IQ equals 16x

    In that case setting Tessellation in CCC at 16x would give AMD higher performance (even higher than nVIDIA's wasted tessellation horsepower) with the same exact IQ

    Which driver i wonder gives best dx11 support, using 11.6 now, but what about like 10.5 or 10.10e i wonder. LOL time to fire up radeonpro and do some tests.
