Hopefully I'm not the only person that found this to be the equivalent of the whore girl at school. Attractive, yet absolutely boring and dull.
Man what you guys just wake up? What it take the last stabastion CRYSIS to get a crappy port job? FPS games for pc only are not doomed... there extinct! We just have to hope they do good porting. You dh guys know it crysis only had its looks making it sexy,looks gone and sex change you wont have anything to do with it. woke up when moh pa came out...waaaa lol
It's not dead.... or extinct lol. There are plenty of better ports, such as the Battlefield series. Hell, I'd go out on a limb and say Black Ops did a **** load better then this garbage. I feel like I'm playing Modern Warfare 2, ported over by collage students, with a mod overlay for graphics whores.
yes better port jobs thank god there are some. Those two games you mention are much better when they were pc only IMHO. i always put looks aside over content/gameplay mostly mp gameplay. *edit I am not kidding you can go get star wars Republic Commando and have just as good time mp then this demo but thats just me.
Scratches head and wonders why so many of you nowdays think you need the fastest cpu/and multip gpu's to play console ports lol. Regardless if you don't like the new console easy aim shooting for newbs etc then why not play quake3/4 unreal 4 etc cuz thats what I do. I tried the demo it's ok but dumbed down for consoles for control etc which me being a very good fps player hated it and deleted it.
That depends on the resolution the person is using, a single GTX580 isn't enough to play the game on a multi-monitor setup if SLI isn't working. Well, as someone reminded me earlier, it was designed by console developers who designed more arcadey games, so it was always likely to be how it is. I liked it though, but nowadays i can only manage 30mins in a MP game before getting bored anyway, so i probably care less if that part is good or not.
I found a funny glitch. I was running after a guy with a shotgun, and I strength jumped and pressed reload in mid air. When I landed I hadn't realoaded and pressing reload did nothing even though I had more bullets. When the guy turned around...I just effing stood there and died haha.
Well I just played for the first time and loved it. Reminded me of F.e.a.r combat but at a slower pace of course!
fear combat, idk.. more like cloaked Mirrors edge running around mixed with cod mw, its kinda good at times, but imo it could be allot better and less crippled - nanosuit and gfx settings,.. Object blur sucks like hell, tnx god for this little tweak +r_MotionBlur=0, it makes it allot better.. some of the tags are funny though like this one: most healed to full health and there is a picture of a open box lol or pigeon something - most time in air,..etc
It has lost all of the originality of the first one...which wasn't the most original game in the first place of course, but it had enough going for it to make it great - the jungle setting, the suit and the amazing game engine with the lovely physics and the lovely gunplay etc. Those things have all been butchered. Now it's just a very pretty, very typical FPS. Someone mentioned Bulletstorm. I expected it to be a terrible console port and people seem to be saying that it is, but for me it runs very nicely and looks very nice. Textures could be higher res but apart from that it is great. Very silly but very fun imo. Doesn't matter that it's a typical dumb FPS because it's dumb in all the right places and it knows it.
It's not even rewarding killing someone. Most crash site games we win because I'm the one that gets most of the sites. TDM is really boring ;/ The ragdolls friggin suck! Not even realistic or funny. Can you grab other players like in story mode? Why can't I just power kick or punch another player? I tried to powerslide into someone, but he killed me mid slide The power stomp friggin sucks! It leaves you wide open, and if you miss, you die.
People are forgetting that Crysis 2 Multiplayer has been done by Crytek UK, formerly Free Radical not Crytek Frankfurt which did the original Crysis and Single Player Crysis 2. Free Radical hadn't developed for the PC before Crytek bought them.
isnt it a bit crap when you put yourself in armour mode your health slowly runs out, wtf is that? Mp is deleted, Ive still got my preorder clinging to the final hope of a decent SP without 'press start' anywhere at all! My other little gripes are why it takes aroung 4 seconds to equip and throw a nade? you have to select it (console),wait for stupid animation (console) and then press a button button to cook (console) and finally release button to throw, G was the letter that they gave me lol, G was great, G was instant, G worked, crytek where G gone? oh and F to grab koreans by the throat, wheres that gone? Big problem also is KB layout, C for crouch???, dont you mean Left CTRL? its right under the sprint button you cant miss it crytek, power kick is useless and power stomp is trash, you miss you die, hardly what I call powerfull. Crytek also said that we would be having intense nanosuit battles, load of tosh, a few well placed bullets and its game over for the other guy regardless of how suit savvy he is. Poor show so far.
To be fair, it's a better multiplayer experience than the usual nonsense that devs tack on to their single player games. It's certainly better than Crysis Wars.
