It works great for me! it plays alot less "stuttery" for me then the beta, though less FPS than the beta it seems... I played the beta on 1920x on advanced(med) with a "smooth" feeling, when I looked at the fps it was something around 25/35, but in this demo its more like 25/30 it seems... Still its very playable I think I am going to pre order it
Theres a updated profile! http://www.nvidia.com/object/nvidia-multigpu-SLI-profile-update-v7-driver.html IF That doesnt work try forcing ALT frame Rendering 2 Through the control panel for the .exe! The new profile worked for me! Cheers
Meh. Its like MW2, the maps are tiny, its pretty much a FFA, and people move too fast compared with the guns. So you find yourself sidestepping to aim rather than actually aiming. Objectives are... kind of pointless, it doent feel like you are holding them. You get to an objective and camp it for as long as possible, there is no strategic way of keeping it. In fact, there is no strategy in this game period. Its pretty random where you end up on the map and you never know what direction the other team is in because the map is so small! People move so fast unless you find someone shooting at someone else and you happen to come across them unnoticed, melee is worthless. Dont bother sprinting to melee someone from behind if they dont see you cause you'll never catch up to them or you'll shoot past them and they'll shoot you in the back. Im going back to bc2, glad there was a demo! edit - I guess I should say what I do like about it. If you do manage a melee kill from behind, you deserve it and its kinda cool. So the one shot isnt OP there at least. Armor mode is really helpful when you're being shot at. Graphics and effects are nice.
Yep, my BFBC2 asked for CD Key too, WTF? I hit "Cancel" and it still worked :3eyes: I logged onto the BFBC2 website and into the statistics, it fixed the problem. But why the heck did Crysis mess with BFBC2 is beyond my understanding. And as I read, Crysis 2 is supposed to be DX10/11 only, no DX9, so why in the name of all that makes sense would they release a DX9 demo?
Its not, its Dx9 only, Dx11 will be added later via patch http://translate.google.com/translate?js=n&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&layout=2&eotf=1&sl=auto&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.sweclockers.com%2Fnyhet%2F13594-crysis-2-endast-dx9-dx11-kommer-senare
thats weak, nvidia has its greasy mitts on the dx11 stuff, wonderfull might actually be refund time tbh, I like my games fully operational, not locked out stuff due to me having ati etc, you watch, amd users will be very dissapoint.
I was expecting loads of (rightful) bitching about how this is not just a console port, but a lazy console port, and instead I find that Crytek can't even get a demo to work properly. I luckily already had an account, so just logged in and had a game. Well, half a game. I couldn't finish it. I don't know where to begin... Wrong FOV, check. "Press Start to continue" as opening screen, check. No advanced graphical settings, check. DX9 only, check. Autom-aim on by default (hell, even the option to have it at all on a PC game), check. Honestly, this is such a piss poor job that I am ashamed to have held Crytek in such high regard. And these are just the technical issues. Assuming they fix these for the official release, which they could do, but I don't have much faith, they are still left with what is essentially Call of Duty: Future Warfare. The whole thing that made Crysis what it was (the suit and its powers) has been ruined to fit on a controller. I don't care if they have to gimp it to get it on consoles, but sure as hell don't gimp it on PC when there is absolutely no reason to. And all this after constant reassurance from Crytek that this was for the best and wasn't "dumbing down" for it to get on the consoles, and that they still love the PC and it will be their best PC game yet. The worst part is, it will sell badly on PC because, frankly, it's **** on PC. It will also get pirated to hell and back (obviously not only because of the quality, but it will definitely be a major factor), Crytek will bitch and moan, possibly stop supporting PC (I doubt it though), blame piracy, and totally ignore the fact they just pissed in the faces of Crysis, Crytek and PC lovers everywhere.
Only played two games my self. Its not that bad, some connection issues but that is the be expected as its a demo release and there will be quite a lot of people hammering the servers. In what way is it **** on PC? Compared to what? Consoles? I think you will find we still got the better version. Ten times better graphics, dedicated servers, etc. Yes aim assist in on by default and for a PC game that is just wrong, to even include it is just wrong I agree on that point. But the game runs smoothly, looks fantastic, and is quite fun. Nothing amazing, but its still fun. Yes the game will get pirated to hell and back as you say, thats the same with any game. Even on consoles, and on 360, pirating is even worse than the PC (when only including games, as PC has other software that is pirated so that does not count only games). I really don't know why people rant so much, just be happy we got a working, great looking, fun game that was actually released on PC.
People bitched, complained and pirated the first Crysis games too, just for different reasons, tbh i feel the ranting is what is also helping hurt PC gaming. In the past people had high standards, nowadays they just like to rant and complain. There is no aim assist unless you use a gamepad, turning it off might make you feel better, but your not doing a thing. Crysis 2 will still sell more than the first game anyway, faults and all, because at the end of the day you can't please everyone, people hate on COD more than any other game series, but they are still the biggest selling PC games of 2010/11.
Reactive than proactive. They never saw it coming? ¬_¬ The most irritating part is I can log into the site but the game hates my nickname even though it's just letters, more than 3.
Yeah, I still haven't got to play this game. This is bs. If this is the way its going to be on launch day then I'm cancelling my pre-order, no thank you.
So I played it a bit. 1. Graphics is meh at most. Nothing special. There are no "expert options". 2. There's autoaim in options in PC version. 3. Hitboxes aren't the best. 4. It's just yet another CoD. Regarding registration, just create a new account from game with non-existing email account, and dummy name.
i heard this but it shouldn't have to be coming in a patch. the devs supposedly promised since the beginning that this was built from the ground up for the latest pc hardware and will fellow it's predecessor crysis footsteps and be dumb-down for consoles so it should run native dx11 out of the box. nope.from the demo it looks like a quick port from them and it seems they didn't even bother with it. to be honest i think the leak dev build that got out like month ago looks bit better then the demo and could be tweaked to no end. i hope this demo was a quick port cause that still gives me hope for the final retail version. hopefully the full retail version will have all the bells and whistles. if not i be very disappointed.
I must admit the graphics aren't what I've expected .The game must be running in DX9 with no AA .And another thing the guns and icons are way too big looks like a direct console conversion ! Can't wait for the final build.and more graphical option
Please, be aware that they need quite a lot of time to make discs, package them, send etc. It means that I wouldn't expect anything better in the final boxed version. My experience shows something quite opposite - if there are really late betas, they usually tend to be better than the official release on day 1.
A few threads have been started on mycrysis.com regarding the rumored lack of DX11 at launch. The community moderators there should get the information and clarify the situation shortly.
I like it, it's fun. Guess I was lucky not to have any problems with the game. Plays well, game play is fun, looking forward to when my pre-order unlocks
