    $250 - 299 USD for a mini-ITX chassis? That's ridiculous. Cryorig and Lian-Li should both go belly up for this stupidity. Would make more sense to buy a laptop at that price. You'll end up with the same hardware either way and the laptop will take up less space while being portable.

    Why does this stuff needs kickstarter?

    Probably because very few people want it an so big companies do not waste their effort on something they'll make only 500 pieces.

    The same would apply to Intel users...

    The only processors that would survive in that case are ULV Atom, Celeron and Pentium processors. Possibly Core-M processors too... Anything else is going to overheat trying to accomplish any task that requires any real power.
