These look cool. Will be fast enough for gaming and not bank breaking like some of the ddr4 modules ive been seeing. I'm hoping to get my x99 on around new years ish. Ive been a kingston user for a long time and have never had an issue with any of their ram.. I still have some ddr2 kingston kicking around in my home made NAS.

what is the general feeling toward crucial for those of you who use/have used them?

Some of the best memory you can buy, constantly rated on top in all categories they compete in. For instance when other manufacturers were having high failure rates with their SSDs crucial stole the stage as far as reliability goes. They may not have had the fastest speeds, but what's more important something that will actually last or something that's a little faster for a short period of time.
Also, I live in the same city as Micron (Crucial) and they are a great company all around
