And if you read a different link, you get a different story:
It'll be fixed by next Friday :\
Why would they delay the launch over this? It's totally a non-issue.
A showstopper? I don't think so..IMO it'll be fixed with a hotfix from win update in no time.
People do love to exaggerate something small don't they, especially with MS stuff.
Amazes me how some people get work these days.
lol who cares.. when people these days are running 4 to 6GB of memory I doubt Win7 would crash. Beside, a patch can quickly fix that via Windows update..
i say, it aint a big deal.
I haven't had any problems or unusual behavior with chkdsk on my machine. Several GB of memory on an Atom netbook? Are there Atom netbooks with more than 1/2gb RAM?
EDIT: Read through it again. So, it's only the RTM that supposedly has this problem?
I agree, it's really pathetic. The average user will freak out at the title and just assume without reading that Windows 7 is going to be a bug ridden mess without reading further as to what they're even talking about. I'd be willing to bet morons like the ones who created this article are the same ones that trashed Vista's image.
seriously i have been using the RTM for 1 week now and I can NOT find any negative point. it has just been amazingly stable!
I still cant wait for apples to blow up from some stupid programing mistake
Meh, as long as Microsoft keeps running those Laptop commercials they'll get the last laugh.
