Some places you have to pay alot for the same products. Might be a better idea to get a person to buy it state side and ship it to you.
Creative is aiming it at the cheaper end of the spectrum as that is where most of their customers are.
The card has very impressive specs but is under the price of the otehr cards boasting these types of specs. Good marketing plan.

I took another look at the card and it sure doesn't look like it has an analog connection. At least not like the Forte. The Forte has a sort of dongle for analog. Where and how will you connect a similar dongle? Thanks.

The Xense has a long connector similar to a DVI connector. That is where you connect the analog output cable.
Have a look here: Guru3D Xense Preview
I have looked over the card and it has analog connection for 7.1.

Sorry, I meant the Creative HD card. I don't see where you connect to 5.1 analog. How do you connect 5.1 analog on the Creative card? Thanks again.

The Titanium HD card is a stereo card for analog. This card is just meant for high quality stereo through analog, similar to the Xonar ST(X) cards.
I am pretty sure we mentioned that earlier in the thread.

Based on what I have seen the Titanium HD doesn't have an actual amplifer on the headphone output.

Incorrect listing are common. The card has a dedicated headphone output but there is no dedciated amplification circuit. Not that I have seen anyway.

Note: No info about headphone amplifier tho :(

..but many line output will have the same info. Technically, a line output can drive any headphones but they will not be driven properly. When I had a look at the card, I didn't see a can amp. Although, I will have a look again when I get some free time just to verify for those interested. Considering the genre the card is aiming at, most gaming headset do not require a headphone amplifer.... I will get back to you when I have had a look.

No, they are talking about the newest Titanium HD
Sure you bought a good card for gaming. In the spectrum of soundcards it is about mid quality...

Are you coming from onboard to the X-fi Titanium?
If you are then you should notice a big upgrade in sound quality.
