I didn't think this card was out yet. I was looking for a new sound card and was interested in this one, but for $300? And I'm kind of surprised they didn't include the X-Ram on this card. Not that too many games supported it, but Creative made a big deal about it a few years ago and included it in all the high end X-Fi cards.

Edit: just realized that this is the australian site. It's not listed on the US site yet.

Hmmm, its pretty weird lol Anyway, anyone has an idea how this card performance compared to Auzentech Forte 7.1 and Asus Xonar Essence STX?

Edit: If Creative X-Fi Titanium HD card can perform better than those 2 cards, better I get this 1 then :D

IIRC, it is a stereo card similar to the Essence STX. It is aimed at Headphone nuts and people with high end stereo setups.

There is a digital option if you really need 5.1 you would do it thru digital. But yea most of these cards that coming are for audiophiles, There are some cases where they make them for muiti channel analog.

Ruined my day. How about the new Auzentech and Xsense? Which of the new cards being released would be best for analog? Gaming of course.

On Creative Australia's website, the price of Creative X-Fi Titanium HD is AU$300. So, that means the price of this card in US$ is around US$250-280. Creative adds that this card using audiophile components as well, but according to TechRadar.com, this card was not really good. Lets wait for this card review from ROBSCIX ;)

Yes the card is using some very high end components and has some very impressive output measurments. I think it is Creative Labs answer to the Prelude/Forte and Essence series.
You would definately need some reasonable gear to hear what this card has under the hood.
I cannot and do not make any assumptions about the sound quality until I actually test it for myself using my gear.
There are a few new cards I am looking forward to testing and a couple I am testing right now;)

You'll be surprised, but Newegg sells it for $170.
