Ok.. it may sound really dumb to you guys out there.. but how do I configure this..

I got a new AMD system with Creative SB Live Player Digital Entertainment 5.1 and also Altec Lansing ACS54 (one subwoofer and four speakers)

I don't seem to get the correct speaker configuration to get the best sound.. Do I set the speaker to "4 speakers' or "DE 5.1"?

And for Altec Lansing ACS54 manual, the dark green input wire is supposed to PC Output 1 and light blue wire to PC output 2.. now which is the right outputs on the Sound Card? There are black, green, blue, pink (i know that's for mic) and I think the last one is an orange or light brown... I had no problem with my previous soundcard Creative SB Live Value card with this set of speakers.

Right now I have it set to "4 speakers" and can all hear the sound. But when I run diagnostic, it only plays on 2 speakers. And I can't run SB Live Experience thunder test.. no sound is heard at all.. weird..

Oh by the way, the default setting is for 2 speakers..is there something to do in the BIOS? If so, how do I change this?
i don't think you can have 5.1 (= dolby surround pro logic) cause logic says that you need 5speakers + 1 woofer (duh) ... so just set it to 4 speakers

    Thanks for reply.
Anyway, I solved the issue. All I did was to uninstall and re-install the sound card drivers & software. Apparently, the store who sold me this machine screwed on this part.. Now it's working properly..
