Unless the T6300 comes under $80, it's a horrible deal compared to the Logitech Z506:

    Logitech: 10" sub
    Creative: 5.25" sub

    Logitech: Satellites: 48 watts RMS (2 x 8 W front, 16 W center, 2 x 8 W rear)
    Subwoofer: 27 watts RMS
    Creative:Satellites: 35 watts RMS (5x7w
    Subwoofer: 22 watts RMS

    Logitech: 75w total
    Creative: 57w total

Logitech: Frequency response: 45 Hz–20 kHz
Creative: Frequency response: 50 Hz–20 kHz

I just don't see based on specs how the T6300 is worth anything around the Z506.

Chillin, sound power isn't all, and speaker balance is just as important. BTW, I believe Logitechs are good speakers too.

I'm happy with my Edifier M3551s with remote control, wooden sub woofer AND speakers, and very nice sound quality.

    Wouldn't recommend another brand.

Kinda OT but I have the Inspire T7700's.
Probably 8yrs old now but still do a great job, 24w 6.5" wooden sub is plenty in a standard sized room....good for games...not so good for music tho.

A 7.1 Set, nice, noone does these anymore :(
    I've thrown together a X-230 with a X-530 to sort of achieve 7.2.

That's the thing, I cannot imagine a 5.25" driver sounding better than a competent 10" driver.

I guess we'll see when the reviews roll in.

I doubt very much the Z506 has a 10" driver/woofer. That may be the size of the enclosure but not the woofer. Else it would be overkill for its specs. The Z5500 has a 10" driver/woofer. The current flagship Z906 has an 8" woofer. The Z506 in all likelihood may have a 5 1/2 to 6 1/2" driver/woofer at most.

The sub is 10 CM not 10 inches. Those Amazon specs are wrong.

hey i have the exacty same speakers as you :D
id say they are crap for games , why ? because many games do not support 7.1 at all.

ALL modern games support that. The game only delivers the basic surround information, how it's distributed among the speakers is entirely up to DX and the Sound Hardware/Driver. Even in good old Guild Wars 1 it works flawlessly.
