    You state you overclocked the cards memory to 786MHz
    Does it not run at 850MHz by default like every other FX5900?

    No, there are several models launched in e- and retail.

    The cheaper versions (light) are all clocked at 700 MHz as referenced by NVIDIA. But there are 850 MHz and even 900 MHz models around, gainward for example. Not in this price range though + that's a manufacturers choice.

    This card is selling for 299 in germany already where Gainwards 900 MHz version still costs 400 EUR.

    When you are comparing the Blaster 5 FX5900 to the FX5900 in your review, Which FX5900 is it? the one clocked at 400/850 or the newer Lite version clocked at 400/700?

    The 'light' model is the default model and is compared to the reference model.

    and the reference model is clocked at 400/700 or 400/850 ?
