very very impressive demo, the guy in the video says they have managed to use upto 15 times the power of 1 Xbox One console in a single game scene!!

    Sidenote

    - Weapon damage is upped significantly for the demo, so you can't shoot a building down in the actual game with a machine gun

Safe to say Nvidia's PhysX technology is now dead in the water.

The video quality is very poor tbh.

also yes I do also agree that people with capped internet or no internet at all will not enjoy this level of destruction.

But I believe this is left for the multiplayer part of the game and the actual single player campaign will have a lot less destruction and will not use the cloud.

So the physics will be a much higher scale online because of the cloud servers. Sounds a bit fragmented...

I'm confused, why isn't this thread in the console gaming section? i see nothing about this game as being hinted to being released on the PC

The cynic in me does not see cloud based exras features, it sees a new level of game features looked behind a pay wall.

This was the only game i wanted on the xbone, now my enthusiasm has been somewhat dampened by the fact the game might offer a better version eye candy wise, if you have a gold subscription.

Or am i reading this worng?

I'd buy a X1 and a Gold subscription in a heartbeat for this sort of stuff.

The first time i've been impressed with a game video in a long time.

I doubt i would ever be gaming and not have very good internet so bandwith wouldn't be an issue, plus i don't see how this would use that much anyway.

Don't think it will impact PhysX or any other offline physics based tech though as there are very few developers out there who would be able afford to provide this service.

Server side physics is also nothing new, just hasn't been used to this scale due to $$$. Havok and PhysX offer the same thing.

This game looks pretty sweet though, shame there's no PC version :p

Yeah i still love me some crackdown, i was going through C1 and C2 again in anticipation of C3, but i simply have no need now for a subscription online anymore on any system, and seeing as it was just confired on twitter that single player, even when signed into xbox live, won't have access to 100% destruction effects, looks like my love for crackdown will end at the sequal, i am quite dissapointed in this to be honest, console games should look and play identically at all times on the same hardware reguardless of subscription level. :(

Looks like i will just have to wait for the PC version. ;)
