i bought this kit for a base start
    http://microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0253333
i have since added a chpset cooler two 7950 vid card coolers and a duel 120mm radiator. using the same pump and the vid card uses 1/4 inch lines.

my ? is should i upgrade the pump the water seems to get a tad hot after long gaming periods. the cpu hits around 40 and the vid card #1 sits around 50 and vid card #2 sees about 36. this is of course with the duel 120mm 125 cfm fans on low. used the fan controller included with the kit.

i am also wondering if the fan on the cpu is nessesary. seems kinda wierd it has to be there. i thought thats what the water was supposed to do in the radiator.

lastly are the heatpipes on some ram coolers hollow.
im wondering if i can hack the capped ends off and run water though them . im using watter wetter and some coolent
    like these for example http://shop1.outpost.com/product/5237957?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG
can i run 1/4 inch water lines through these?

    thankx alot guys

I never really liked that pump that the Gigabyte system came with. I think mine was defective though, it had a hard time pushing water past only a cpu and a single gpu.

That fan is there for ascetics only.

If you want to buy a different pump, this is one of the best ones that are made : http://e3wwwtest.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835108082

you should increase the amount of cooling by adding a bigger radiator and turning the fans to active cooling. they should cool more then the system generates in terms of heat. ;)

i already have a duel 120mm fan radiator i got from frozencpu. also i found a marine 12 volt pump at wal-mart for 18.99. it is a 500 gph pump for pumping water into a bait tank. it says at 3.3 feet head it is 400 gph. whould this be enough or is that way to low.
