It's more popular because anyone that bothers to even check out the D14 will realize it's better than the H50, not because this is Guru3D where according to you everyone is ignorant.

Nice twist of words, well interpreted. Don't put words in peoples mouth, bad habbit.

You also assume I didn't check the D14? I checked them all, funny thing is that I saw an old review yesterday stating the Mugen 2 outperformed the D14. So it's a strange world out there. Over here in Holland there is a strong preference for the Megahalems as being the end all in aircooling. So many people so many opinions. Even review sites don't agree.

So get them both and test them in the same conditions.

Coolermaster V5 GT FTW .. keep my proc at low 30s in summer. check it out, i used it and its actually better than the H50 since i owned them both.

V5? I know about the V6, never heard about the V5.

    Bad form.

    I'm not calling you ignorant.

But perhaps using an internal filter of knowing members and personalities would keep that view from forming in the first place. Be cool, man. :)

Eh? His comment in my opinion was a gross exaggeration, however it seems he didn't mean it that way, though thats what I thought he was implying.

As for being cool, what? :3eyes:

Then I digress and refrain from turning the thread further. I just don't like to keep arguments. All apologies.

I didn't mean to come on to strong, so apologies if I sounded that way. I'm certainly not under any impression G3D members are ignorant. So Steve and nvlddmkm, group hug?

i would make sure the v8 is making good contact.
i have replaced the pos fan and added two/three 120 fans in p/p,it makes results alot better

iv ran some volts while stressing the cpu on a few type of i7 chips even the 980x was kept under 90c ibt @1.35v

i can understand if its hell degrees where you are but your 930 should run c0oler at those volts
you have to make sure on this cooler to check contact more then any other cpu cooler i'v ever owned a real pita.
thuogh even if you get it right without the fan mod its only so so.
