Well that seemed to work...........Hmm. Wonder what I'm giving up running these 2 Dominator RGBs at stock lol. CL1 worked fine with 1.35v raised to 1.45v

My ram 3600 oced to 4133 sits at 4.5v also.

@nizzen: really true! With an Intel platform (x299 in my case), no matter if CPU, RAM or even GPU, overclocking is great fun, even without LN2:

edit: RAM: G Skill RipjawsV F4-3600C16-8GVK @1.42V (cooling the sticks with stock chassis fan, nothing else).
btw: not sure if AIDA is a very reliable RAM benchmark.....

Hopes were high as single core leaks seemed overpowered :D. Hope dies last.

Lol remember when all the Intel people were making sarcastic comments about how amd is only good for "playing" cinebench?

It's fascinating story , but you can't do anything about power draw and still performance per watt is disastrous .
What You have done is possible for 0.01% of buyers.

And you can argue same for Zen3, just compare stock 5600X or 5800X to PBO2 + Curve optimizer + 2000FCLK. Then we can do benchmarks and compare results

How much actual gaming performance you achieved with this ?

I tested my 5600X stock vs PBO curve optimizer + fclk 1933 ( 2000 is not stable with PBO) , i got around +20% performance in WWZ ( 1080p low settings ) with 15-20 watts more during gaming. This is only game i have and can test that has huge CPU bottleneck at 1080p.

11900k is actual easy too cool, as the heat transfer fast trough the heatspreader compared to my 5900x. I can push 1.5v through 11900k, and still barley go over 80c with 360 radiator. Have 420+360 radiator on 5900x, and temp is about the same, with less powerdraw, but I have no problems with heat anyway on the systems.

With 3090 strix oc on both systems, powerdraw is not my concern anyway :) In gaming, the total powerdraw is pretty much the same from the wall, so the powerdraw "consern" I can't see it.

As for gamingperformance 5900x with 3800c14 memory VS Rocketlake 11700/11900k with fast memory, it's pretty much the same.

11700k with fast memory is a nice buy for gaming only, but the 11900k is just for the 200mhz extra "potensial" if the bin is good. My 11700k pre launch cpu is an above average chip, so the difference is maybe 100mhz compare to average 11900k.

After testing Rocketlake for a while, my opinion is that 11700k is a better buy than 5800x for gaming. 5900x vs 11900k, the 5900x wins.

Why noone testing high memoryspeed for Rocketlake, I don't know. It's like "noone" knows that Ryzen 5 serie rock with 3800c14 tweaked memory :)
Slow memory for Rocketlake is like running 5900x with 2133mhz c19 memory LOL

It was true for Ryzen 3 series ;)

Noone is posting anything else than Cinebench on this forum, so it's the only thing to compare...

I guess noone her play games, just playing Cinebench and posting toxic comments on "news posts" all day long ;)

11400f ( around 160 EUR in europe) actually might be very good deal :
    eats 3600X and cheaper :)

MOD: NO GN VIDEOS HERE, THANKS.
