    okay big boy
    it does seem like they,ekhm,"stretched" that -2% vs. 8700k at 1080p :p
    by good 15%

still, your claiming to buy 1700x and selling it the next day cause it's that bad....

I'm buying almost every cpu, because overclocking and testing hardware is my hobby. This way I know how good the cpu's actually are, instead of believe and thinking.

I also know that first gen Ryzen suck in gaming compared to cpu's like 8700k. 8700k with 4400mhz tweaked memory is still hard to beat :)

My old 1800x had no chance with only 3200c14 memory and 4ghz all core. Benchmarked with 3600c16 memory and 4.1ghz all core, but still no chance in cpubound games.

Looks good. Now try 3800c14 to come closer to 60GB/s read and under 55ns memorylatency :) Latency is pretty much right.

This is my 5900x setup with 64GB memory (4x16GB)
Haven't seen to many others running 64GB on this platform yet.

e can´t manage cl14 with 3800mhz, and cl15 need 1.48v to be stable, so i´m waiting new agesa to my motherboard to try these same 4000mhz cl16 with 1.40v

yes flck are stable here with 2000mhz in all 2d benchmarks tests but crashing playing 3d games later 1 hour of gameplay, i believe the new agesa can fix this

In cpudemanding games, looks like 30+% difference from 1800x to 8700k. This is BEFORE going all in with memoryoverclocking on 8700k ;)

This is the best I tried so far, but I didnt gave it enough volts, 1.40v? i think, needs probably 1.45v in the end.

So I settled with this @ 3963mhz and 1.38v. Maybe I will try more once I get RL, eyeing 11700K or even 11900k if the price is right.

    I have this kit

When running a CPU-Z Bench on my 5800X, PBO set to on and such, 3800mhz mem at 18181818, I get just 637,4 single core and 6174,5 multi core. Is there something that's misconfigured here that I need to look in to?

Does most DDR4 memory with 2 sticks in dual channel run at 1T?

I'm running 4*16GB 3600MHz CL18 or CL16 G.SKILL TridentZ Neo and no issues running them at such speed, I'm still on 3900X because I couldn't get or find 5900X in stock at all and if I will get one maybe later this year

My latency on this kit or my setup is around 62-72ns

    Hope this helps

    Thanks, Jura

Change it yourself manually in bios, command rate make it 1.
    Do it now!
Give ram a little more volts if needed.

    Nice LN2 score :D

It's WAY more fun overclocking with Intel than Amd Ryzen.

But compare that to my NON OC 3900x as it comes with only water cooling to help it, look at the core speed I have OC this same CPU since to an all core 4.5ghz but it shortens its life and as you said ...your power bill, the 5900x can pass 5Ghz and is faster to boot for IPC its time Intel got on with it or we will create another monster called AMD btw look at that Temp! Dream on
