No way a laptop can handle that current draw.

Should we replace batteries for high capacity capacitors? 1.1 Gigawatts? xD

I will be very impressed if they manage to pull their claims off. Not a lot of space to hide an AC cooler in a laptop chassis.

3 power bricks and a 20 pound chassis later ..... yeap 5.3 on 1 core for 10 seconds with a 500 watt power draw in cpu alone

I am all for adding more power in the mobile space but is this really necessary in a laptop? I mean many other things in a laptop will bottleneck before this CPU does, a 4 or 6 core with decent clocks would be good

Is anything necessary? Eating and drinking is necessary :p

Some like to play Cinebench all day, and some like to play fortnite in 1080p all day. Buy what you need/want ;)
People tend to need/want different things. That's why there are different cpu's on the market :)

Well we all wanted intel to bring the heat ! But they got it wrong and brought it to laps and not amd , jokes aside does not seam unreasonable for one core boosting up to 5.3 ghz while the rest chill at 2.7 on a 45watt package

I'm sure this "velocity boost" is going to pull a 3950X and only maintain the boost for very brief moments.
I still stand by my statement that it's not false advertising, but still pretty shady.
