AMD ain't GOT Nuthin on INTEL!
AMD ain't GOT no chance at all!
I have a feeling gaming perf per clock will not be much better than i7 (nehalem). Of course in the benches first impressions will be spectacular because the 2500k and 2600k clocks are at 3.33 and 3.4ghz. They also have a high turbo boost which will contribute to the benches. I'd like to see the older i7 vs these new chips at the same clocks and no turbo boost.
Next review is of AMD 8 core CPU for $50. Take that Intel.
Anyway, thats pretty impressive indeed. I say for people still on Socket775, its a good time to start saving up and upgrading to this.
might be time to sell the rig lol!
An mid range quad core beating the high ends LGA1366 CPUs with no effort??? I can´t believe this!!!
Too bad that videogames dont´see the same improvement as others benchies.
Still, that 2600K is starting to make me wanna spend money on a new rig...
And, RIP AMD, you will be missed...
Anyway, any infos on the release date of the LGA1356 ( who replace the 1366)?
AMD Vision Black FX and AMD Vision Ultimate FX coming with new AVX
holy s***...i remeber fx days, that was a beast in the past, and i was cursing myself getting an intel...!!! i hope it will be the beast again...!!! go AMD:biggun:
Videocard: hd6990x2 ES
lol i like the image
Black FX - 8 cores
Ultimate FX - 6 cores
"Black Buldozer" - Uber CPU
I would too.
intel intel your our man if you cant do it no one can yeeeeaaaa intel.
so by how much faster is it vs 1156/1366 i7's?
Man i feel sorry for AMD. Its going to be hard selling systems with AMD now
Seems decent enough, though bear in mind that some of the benches were using the OCed i7K and most of us with 1366 rigs have already OCed the **** out of em anyway (myself included), but I must say I am impressed by the performance that Intel have brought to the table with SB. Just see what AMD will manage with Bulldozer, maybe they can Bulldoze Intel once and for all (pun intended).
Just what I have been waiting for!
It's like 20-30% quicker clock for clock, seeing these chips hit 5GHz on stock air cooling with little effort :biggun:
Passmark 7 test is revealing my i7 950 @ 4.4 HT on pulls 8.5k cpu score
i7 2600k @ 3.4 stock pulls 9.5k, so is like 1k faster an has 1GHz less speed :biggun:
whoa it obliterates the current i7 Quads huh?
