Intel seems to be doing excellent work keeping things under wraps, haha. Or maybe this is some kind of viral marketing strategy.

11900k wasnt that good in the first place. Its slower than 10900k.

o.k. with a grain of salt the size of London, i will say this is the type of performance gain we used to get when tick went tock.

and for some unknown reason (maybe i'm mental), this makes me happy.
but the only reason there's a grain of salt in the first place is Intel's habit of overpromising and under delivering

this is more than a tick tock tbh...12600k being faster than 10900k is more like core 2 duo vs Pentium 4. This RARELY happens.

Was there all this difference between i9-10900k and i9-11900k?
I wish those numbers are true, so that i can buy something at bargain from amd side, like a 5800x at less than now and upgrade with little headache ( 2700x user right now ).

Intel have from November (AL release) till April (Zen 4 release) to enjoy whatever advantage AL brings to the table. At least lets hope the competition results in more aggressive pricing on both sides. Zen 3 prices will likely go down in November followed by Intel AL prices going down in April.

I think I'll wait until Zen 4 releases and see what architecture wins out. Though I'm betting it's going to be back and forth a little bit.
