This is one of those things that if done right, could really do a lot to enhance an experience, but will otherwise be an expensive gimmick that maybe only makes sense for a handful of titles for a few years. The tricky part is how this is implemented.
They're all custom built designer chairs, not mass produced, which is one reason why they are so pricy. Even without the D-BOX modules they cost upwards of $5000USD. Designer furniture for rich folks is crazy.
