Cooler Master today announced CM Storm Devastator, a killer keyboard and mouse combo tuned to get you into the game faster. An overwhelming combo, Devastator includes the MS2K Precision Mouse and MB2... Cooler Master CM Storm Devastator, it is a killer keyboard
The edges don't look sharp enough for it to function as a killer keyboard during heated e-Sports competitions or such but I guess maybe the weight could offset that.
I don't know why but mechanical keyboards have trouble beign recognized during boot so going into bios is out. Of question. I have tested this with tree different keyboards and two different motherboards. Strange thing is $15 logitech keyboard had no problem at all.
Things like quickboot and legacy usb can affect this. Disable quickboot and enable legacy support. That usually fixes it.
I've been using this kb/mouse combo on my computer. Considering I paid $30, I have no complaints at all.
I had the same problem with my CM Quickfire Pro on my old P35 motherboard. Changing the key rollover setting from 'n' (unlimited) to 6-key got it working in the BIOS. NKRO doesn't cause this issue with my newer z77 motherboard.
^^ this. all usb keyboards use a low-level generic driver (normally integrated into most BIOS) so they can be used before the OS-specific drivers are loaded, something is blocking the USB keyboard driver from loading on those 2 motherboards you have tried.
I changed a lot of keyboards, now i have a Logitech K800, the wireless illuminated keyboard and i won't change it for any keyboard in the world. Typing on it is an orgasm. I don't get the "gaming keyboards" with hundreds of keys, G keys, ecc. As long as it has "wasd", space, shift, ctr, tab, E, Q, F, G, im cool with it. I understand when it comes to mice, but keyboard......i don't think it gives you any advantage at all in games.
I also have keyboard detection issues in BIOS with my mechanical keyboard. I will try changing settings like some guys here have said, thanks for the suggestion!
