I've my 3600 c17 ram OC'd to 4133 cas 18. Sounds like you got a nice G.Skill set there.
I'll surely try how high it can go for the heck of it!
For that price it better be a good kit, lols. Should be a Samsung B-die set too:
That stuff will fly!
wrong thread sry.
Definitely sounds good by this review, this should be the same set. 3800 out the box and reached up to 4733 (single DIMM)
G.Skill DDR4 3600 TridentZ Neo 16GB: Testing & Overclocking - G.Skill DDR4 3600 CL14 TridentZ Neo 16GB Review - Page 2 - Overclockers Club
2x16gb 3600 dual channel dual rank kit is what i would get instead instead of those speedier 2x8gb single.
I canceled my order in the end.
Idk I'm trying to somehow cling to this hobby but I always get remorse afterwards.
Truth is at times we can barely afford the house we live in.
Anyway thanks for input and sorry for thread semi-hijack.
I took some time to compare 5800x and 10700k including 1% and 0.1%
tested on rtx3080 OC in 1080p
this is stock,so 10700k is running 4.7G
0.1% too unstable on 5800x,tanked to 15 fps, 47 fps on 10700k
avg. 10 games - +2.7%
1% 10 games - same, 0.04% difference on avg
0.1% 10 games - +1.75% wo. BF5 where 5800x drops below 20fps
grab that 4.6G 10700 for $260, there is hardly any difference against 5800x,let alone almost $200.at this price this cpu is a steal for gaming.
this + 16g b-die kit and you're still $50 below 5800x msrp.dafuq.
my 10700f cost me 250eur,4133 c19 kit 95eur (bought last year).that is 345eur for both.5800x is 440eur currently.that according to amd is your cost of +3% average framerate in most extreme scenarios.they're cashing it in like intel did before ryzen.
that depends on a game
that 4133 c18 kit I linked is gonna be roughly the same, and with b-die this is just the beginning.for a user that knows a thing or two about memory oc I recommend b-die sr,there isn't much tinkering either.I got mine stable at 4133 16-16-16-31 1.45v in about an hour and there's still headroom.
Anyone noticed that the OP stopped responding in this thread because this thread was piggybacked and slightly derailed?
Just a casual observation.
Maybe he got the point and already decided for himself. His thread is alive and i dont think he minds.
he got six pages of pretty one sided responses.
either go with a higher 8-12 core r5000
or 10th gen/r3000 8 core
I'm still reading and learning stuff....I also forgot to click "follow thread"/Lol
