4K High RT = sub 20 frames with 2080....guess I'll play without RT then. Rather have high resolution over a few reflections off a wall or puddle.

Next-gen visuals. DLSS seems good, so performance won't be a problem. And above all, Remedy is back.

I knew this game was going to be awesome when the first trailer was released, and it's been at the top of my most anticipated games list since then.

 

how did people play the game already? seems i've to wait until the 28. Consoles maybe?

Got to see the game today, Jesus christ its so blurry.


Cannot disable aa, Which makes the blur worse. 4k helps obviously but 1440p is bad and 1080p is like a 720p upscale.

 

Maybe we got to Nvidia Sharpen this b****.

 

Control doesn't support NV Freestyle for now.

 

lol@the PC price, um no( easy to see where the publisher discount is coming from - consumers pockets ), quite reasonable to get the PS4 version though.

 

I wonder why they restrict it to some games, I remember when it was released; there was a bypass to have it work with all games. Bleh!

 

What about renaming the exe and see if game will start and then if filters will work.

Anyway anyone know what times the EPIC store releases the games across the world.

Without the whole "live action TV show" thing they had with Quantum Break. it should be a lot smaller. Remedy hasn't gotten in on the whole "bandwidth is unlimited and Blu-Ray has enough room" bandwagon and still uses old-school compression and run-time decompression to keep the total file size down.

 

The PC version of Quantum Break did not download the TV episodes.
They were only available through streaming (officially). And the game was still over 60 gigs in size.

Control is smaller because of how it was made, not because it doesn't have live action TV episodes.
With Control being made for PC from day one, they were able to properly focus on the PC side of things and really maximize the engine for it.
