As today thats a great price.
I'm not buying it
No one should but be real you cant find anywhere 3060ti for that price anymore.
This is the kind of financial stability they've needed.
They've always said the one thing stopping them from making Alan Wake 2 was money. Because the first game did not "impress sales wise", publishers were not eager to back a sequel.
If they had the means themselves, they could fund the sequel and find a publisher later.
Hope these are steps to making that a reality.
Thats what happens when you make a good game.
Alan Wake was a great game, but got shafted by releasing the same day as a much bigger release.
Sometimes, being a good game simply isn't enough.
Im sure they are already planing/working on a alan wake 2 for a while now. Control awe ending was just a tease for whats coming.
They've been wanting to make Alan Wake 2 since the first game released.
American Nightmare is pieced together from stuff from a then canceled AW2.
And, Sam Lake has always said Alan Wake is the project he is the most proud of, and the one he has the most ideas for.
Hopefully they'll be able to realise AW2 now, as that story ended a bit too open to not warrant another outing. Hopefully this time there will be no arbitrary exclusivity as well.
Ending was just wow. That last cutscene when he stops typing and he sais "its not a lake its an ocean, boom the end i got chills even today.
Yep. I originally hoped that the episode DLCs (or American Nightmare) would continue the story more, but it was not so. Alan is (for all intents and purposes)
still stuck in the "dark place", even if he managed to hold onto his sanity (that was what the two DLC episodes were about, no?) and got rid of his doppelganger, and he is trying to get out (or so goes the theory connected to Control's last DLC)
I really hope for a sequel - the tone and atmosphere of the original was excellent.
