theres no way unless you bump up the resolution. You can compare against Quantum break(same engine) and you will notice that it is even less sharper, digital foundry commented it in their review that they have been working to get the engine more sharper.

I would lie if I said no. I am interested in the RTX settings, but have skipped the 2xxx generation. I am still proud of my 1080, especially since I have only a 1080p @60Hz monitor, but I am planning on upgrading sometime this generation. Though if the 3xxx gen will also get the "Super" refresh, I will most likely wait for it.

At some point, I want to replay Withcer 3 on 4k @60fps...

same, i skipped the first RTX. yeah i am holding decent with my 1070 on 1080P@60 but i am leaning towards a 144Hz\1440P-IPS
monitor on my next upgrade. didn't decide yet but i have plenty of time to wait. Control, RDR2, Horizon.. im planning to play all of em
on my next GPU. i prefer waiting for the next AMD GPU's because RTX isn't my thing.. so i prefer something like a solid similiar to 1080Ti
card with no RTX and a good price point. Witcher 3 looks amazing on 4K with some mods, i saw it a few months ago in my friend's place.

Yeah, W3 suffers from aliasing, and the ingame post-process AA doesn't cut it at all. Downsampling from 4k to 1080p makes the game look nigh perfect with Halk Hogan's mod and some nice lighting mod. I just eats performance, though, and I didn't want to play in locked 30fps (even if Unwinder's RTSS keeps stable frametimes in W3). The 2080Ti was the only one that could hold stable 60s when in 4k, so this generation should be the one to finally get it right.

As for RTX, I'm curious to see how it looks in action, or at least try DLSS 2.0. With that said, I want go get Control anyway.

Control looks amazing, and from what I've seen.. I prefer it without RTX.
Now, I'm only playing the game in DX11, no RTX...

But, I've watched several videos... and in some places, it looks really out of place.
Saw a trailer showcasing the effects in control, and panning through a concrete hallway... yet, the walls... everything was shiny, reflective...
Mirror like reflective concrete looks really... silly.

A lot of the RTX implementation being used in games right now seems more so like a "Here it is, lets slap it on everything" instead of a more subtle, believable use of it.
Not every surface will reflect with a mirror like shine.

Can any fans of this game confirm something for me, is it just me or is this game addictive as hell? (probably around 15hrs in)

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but this is literally like saying "I think my games look better with the shadows all turned off." This isn't even a subjective fact, Control with RTX is the best example of the atmosphere ray tracing can bring to a game thus far, and by your own admission you haven't even played it to experience the difference (videos do not compare to the full experience).

I agree, to experience RT you gotta be playing with it on, Control was my first RT game and from the outset the visuals were nothing like ive ever seen, so realistic waw!
The physx was a nice surprise too.

Yes, I've outright said I haven't played it with RTX on... because I do not own a RTX capable GPU.
And, currently have no plans to get one.

I've seen nothing from RTX that makes me personally feel like it is a must have feature. Control looks gorgeous, plays great... and I feel this way without RTX.
Maybe, in the future, I'll try it... maybe I'll like it then. But right now, the feature does not peak my interest. Does not make me think games "have to have it".
