Its a great game worth playing just dont watch the show.
It's hard to say... most ppl, including myself, watched first 1 or 2 episodes and then stopped watching
Well, regarding Quantum Break i watched them all the first time, still fairly unique experience to have those short film in the middle of the game, reminded me of how Red Alert used to have small cinematic like that during campaign.
Well it has a lot of cringey moments to be honest but it should be watched once to understand the story better.
They aren't bad.
But, they show what they are... a TV show made on a very small budget, trying to look like a TV show made on a large budget.
They have some so/so writing and poor acting at times. And a few of the characters specific to the TV show are "meh". The first time I played Quantum Break, I watched the TV episodes for each act.
But, on replays... I've skipped them.
As I've said before, I feel the biggest issue with Quantum Break is... in ways... it doesn't really feel like Remedy. And this all comes down to that fact that Sam Lake was not the lead writer on the game.
He stepped back, and others handled the lead writing. And it shows.
3440x1440 Native 4XMSAA in Slow Motion.Pure awesomeness last main quest.Spoiler.
How did you get this 'skin' ?
You asking me? If you are what do you mean by skin.
There are a few different outfits that can be unlocked by playing the game from what I understand, one was a pre-order bonus too I think.... I'm not sure which is the one in the video though, I don't have the game.
The outfit of your character
Edit: found it : https://guides.gamepressure.com/control/guide.asp?ID=51402
Even on max, the LOD in the game is pretty crappy. Move the character far away from an object and say hello to shitty low res textures.
LOL something so simple, never even crossed my mind that was what you were referring to.
Enjoyed the Ashtray Maze mission with a Ahti cassette player, “Take Control”
Btw, @XenthorX after seeing your link i went and got the new outfit, looks nice.
Had a feeling this pretentious X-files episode turned into a video game would not be for me. Horrible gunplay, using destructible environments in combat, meh.. having to read every stupid cryptic message for something of value, poor pacing, uninteresting enemies, jeezuz what an over-hyped mess. Gloomy atmosphere and feel for the place along with uninteresting story didnt help either. Remedy games, NEVER AGAIN. (didnt like Alan Wake, which should have served as a warning).
Well... that's honest lol
Control was average but far from bad. I've had fun with it. Gunplay was good, graphics was amazing and story is decent. I loved the connection with Alan Wake and waiting for some dlcs. Each to their own.
While everyone is allowed their opinion, if you didn't like Alan Wake... I'm not sure why you would even bother with Control.
Or, really, any Remedy game. They have a pretty distinct style, and it's not something they are going to change any time soon. At least not while Sam Lake is in charge, and I'm grateful for that.
Control was awesome after they fixed there graphic problems.Maybe one of the most fun games I played in years, besides the mess of Kingdom Come Deliverance fun.
What graphics problem? I only waited them to disable motion blur so i can continue playing. Game was working fine.
