According to Kioxia's comments, the problem has an impact on the manufacturing of the company's 3D BiCS flash, which is used in a wide range of SSDs and other products. ... Contamination costs Western Digital and Kioxia 6.5 Exabytes of 3D NAND
I have a feeing this won't cost them a dime... think we all know who's gonna pay for this at the end of the chain
It's not a conspiracy if it's a known fact to begin with. And we all know what happened every single procreating time with these guys, nothing will be different this time.
I work with a soon retired engineer that was selling pcs and macs through the 80s and 90s and even he says "problems always happen when prices are low every x years like clockwork" so for all the nay sayers he has 40+ years of computer retail experience you don't have they don't need to invent a problem but "maximizing" it to recoup the 3-4 weeks of downtime that they can do
Rumor has it the contamination was google chrome it self it evolved to be hungry for more than your ram ! You heard it here first folks !
If they're in it together like the RAM manufacturers are then it actually is a conspiracy and not a theory. It seems likely given how prone to wrongdoing the industry is.
