    Hello.

I want to connect the Logitech Z906 5.1 audio system to an Auzentech X-Fi Forte 7.1 audio card in my PC. The audio system has a coaxial digital input and the Auzentech card has a digital output. Could I connect them with a coaxial digital cable? The audio system also has a couple of optic digital input, could I make the connection with an optic cable using some kind of adaptor in the digital output of the Auzentech card?

Excuse me if I haven't been clear enough, my engrish is not awesome at all in this kind of language.

    Thanks.
    Greetings.

Do you have the VGA looking cable with 3.5 wires on the other end, if so you can simply plug that into the logitech Z906 analog inputs. Other wise use this http://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=2680 and connect it to the Coaxial on the rear of the Z906's to the Coaxial of the Forte. If it does have that adapter with the 3.5 wires on that then use that instead.

The Coaxial on your Z906 is that orange color connection, the cable looks like a RCA cable such as the one i linked you and you be all set. Don't forget to enable DTS encoder or DD live Encoder when your gaming, you don't need to enable the encoder when you're watching movies as they're already encoded. Just games when your using Digital.

    Hey, thanks for the reply.

I made this post because I got this (sorry, can't post links or images with less than 5 posts, lol) h**p://i.imgur.com/GJZcPgm.jpg cable, but it only says "Digital Coaxial Video Cable", instead of "Digital Coaxial Audio/Video Cable". Is there any kind of cable exclusively for video? I bought this one thinking it'd fix my problems, but it doesn't get me any kind of sound at all. But again, I might be wrong and it should work for the 5.1 system I want to set? I dont know at all.

    Thanks.

That's the right cable did you set the input on your Logitech Z906 control panel to coaxial. Also did you keep it set to speakers in the windows control panel and then went into the auzentech control panel and enable DTS or DD live encoders? Making sure none of the outputs are on mute.

If you can try to see if a movie gives you sound over coaxial to see if its working, don't use the encoders with the movie. Also do you have another coaxial cable laying around just in case that one is bad.

Or a optical cable laying around that you can use with the toslink mini adapter to see if it is your Logitech Z906 coax plug that's causing it to happen.

Thank you very much for your help, I appreciate it. Sadly I haven't been able to make it work yet, and I'm not going to be able to try for some time due to irl stuff. But once again, thank you very much, I'll keep trying whenever possible.
