AMD is giving a sneak peek into the future well next year 2011 that is. AMDs future processors will be called APUs Accelerated Processing Units and during a Press Conference yesterday in Taipei the...

Very nice performance with integrated GPU.

If it really be this good, then new AMD's will be the kings of HTPC, office and internet-use computers.

Go AMD, we need some strong competition for Intel.

Amazing stuff considering the integrated nature, I can see why the rumors about Apple's interest abound.

Of course we'll have to pitch these chips against Sandy Bridge but as far as the GPU parts are concerned I'll wager Fusion outdoes the former by a good deal.

They might come out slower, but turn out faster, if you take my meaning. If AMD's development fund strikes big, then APUs might become required for doing anything intensive eventually.

Did not see any wood screws, lol. :)

Hope they can deliver what they showed us today, little more competition wont hurt us. Look pretty good.

*nod* It does represent a rather significant leap forward for what we expect, and demand, from a 'basic' computer.

I do love AMDs platform and outlook, if Fusion can help bump integer performance per clock a bit as well it's going to be a no-brainer.
