So... August then. Might as well wait for Volta. AMD's motto is sadly #justwait.

I'm still excited for price drops I'm desperately in need of a 4K capable card at a reasonable price 1080ti is 1000$ here where I live.

I feel like we've been hearing news about Vega since 2014. I've pretty much given up all hope on competitive GPU cycles.
Problem is our dollar value went down the crapper relative to the USD which 99% of our goods have their values partially based on, meanwhile wages remained stagnant. Even now that the dollar recovered a bit it's at 74 cents.

We shall see about that. 599 is quite a competitive price though.
So again, as always, it comes down to 2 things: REAL WORLD BENCHMARKS and availability...

This article really makes it hard to figure out what they actually said and what is speculation on Hilberts side. Did they even list those models at all? Because right above it says rumor again.

It feels like they didn't say squat about Vega, other then teasing again. They must really have problems getting it ready.

I thought they said earlier the consumer Vega will follow soon after the pro model? There was the claim it will be two month later. They really do need to start shipping the thing to consumers at least the end of July if they don't want that wild claim to be the truth.

In my country you can buy a 1080 ti for 726e ( custom not founder ) , 599 usd ( with VAT ) = 720e , and price will drop for the 1080 ti , is not really a good price i think , and if vega is behind the TI in game ... Waiting for reviews , and 1100 serie is coming

Tired of waiting, I jumped to the green side and bought a Ti, this is faster by a good margin compared to my previous 290x crossfire which I had waterblocks on them just to maintain acceptable temperatures and noise. This thing is silent and never breaks from 70 degrees celcius.
The only thing that AMD could compete is price, but releasing a card for 600 dollars is not very attractive at all.

600$ is good if it's relative to performance and if it beats the competitors 650$ card then I call that a win.

Agreed, the article is a little difficult to follow.

Still no benchmarks-- crossfire with no fps counter??? At first I thought they may just be keeping their cards close-- now, I fear they dont have a hand.

Theres no good reason they shouldnt have teased some real benches yet if they were sitting on something really competitive.

Bitcoin. AMD cards are being sold out left and right.
Those new ones with improved compute... If AMD has preorders months into future for Frontier Vega, we will not see them as gaming cards any time soon.

Have you seen how many RX-460+ & RX-560+ are there available on stores?

Everything here will be in the price/performance ratio. With these compute numbers and the arrival of Scorpio this year, this will most likely be a better long-term investment than Pascal.

Keep in mind Pascal has already been here for over a year.

I just want to ask if anyone other than myself were scratching their heads as to why there was so much screen tearing going on??

Just an observation I've made when trying to take in the "performance" they were showing...

You aren't the only one. It was horrible. However they could have had the game mirroring from a free-sync display and unlocked frame rates.
