I want to take most of my computer apart (except for the motherboard and its components - CPU, fan, ram, sound card, graphics card,) so that I can braid wires together and make the inside of my PC more aesthetically pleasing.

Can I do all of this without having to reinstall the OS and/or start from scratch? So when I'm finished can I put everything back together again, turn the power back on and be where I was before?

    Yes.

As long as you use the same hard drive and motherboard you can disassemble everything. You can even change the CPU or RAM.I don't advise trying to change the motherboard because i've had problems in the past but you can dissable with no problems yes.Actually i just did this today to clean all the dust.
