I have my hard drive partitioned for some reason, 2x80gb on 1 160gb drive, and I wish to combine them under vista, is this possible?

    Thanks.

I think Vista only allows "Dynamic" expansion of drives, and only if there is room to expand on the disk. I don't believe you can merge partitions. If you have a second HDD, you could throw everything on that, and format the two partitions, then creat a new one using disk management

Right, you need software for merging partitions. Paragon has Vista compatible software that can do merge. Just be warned it can take some time to complete and i think it gets progressively worse the more data you have on the partitions (i.e. the less free space that makes up the two partitions the longer it takes).
