    That shroud is restricting the airflow, "looks" over performance i guess ?

    I hate how they just gradually make the coolers bigger for better cooling/performance. Why can't no one just jump into something like this already lol

    I like the wild looking design, but in this case it's not practical as it looks like the cover is restricting a lot of airflow.

    Lol I did sumthing similar to my old 6600gt I mounted a socket A cooler on it but sawed off the fins real low so I cud still mount the card. Temp went way dwn an managed to squeeze more of a oc out of it too....I think I had too desolder one of the pci ports off the board too...went a bit mental on that one. Had the old pencil mod on a Barton cored Duron that activated the laser cut cach so turned it into a full fledged athlon. Had wires under the cpu on the pins to mod it to run a 2v cos my mobo didn't go high enuff. Loved that ole beast.
