I wont spoil anything either, except to say that it was FREAKIN TERRIBLE and it completely wasted my money and time... which is very precious to me. It was just a bad blend of terrible jokes, shakey camera and a stupid love story. I give it a minus a billion out of 5. uke2: Stupid. Thats what it is. Its stupid.
Juno is really, really good! But it is also ridiculously straight-forward. I'm seeing Cloverfield tomorrow, not expecting much anymore, but I think I can still enjoy it. No spoilers please and thanks!
i guess whoever watched the trailers before didn't really have any high expectations about the movie, i watched it with my friends have a good laugh and the xfx looks nice, i actually enjoy it. the people in the theather was so quiet at the end of it, i was craking up:wanker: what were they thinking? they were like WTF!?!?! hahaha just another movie movie thats all
i actually thought it was pretty good. I go used to the shakey camera after. It was all good until the end.... why.........
It was idiotic. As other have said, a complete waste of time and money. The ending was especially terrible, just like Atonement's! Well I was right, its was like Godzilla meets Blair Witch. Except Blair Witch was still better then this! The shaking camera just about made me sick!uke2:
Heh, when you have previews like Juno (repeat her name, don't show anything remotely amusing), you just know it'll suck.
spoiler This is for the people that want to see the monster. Don't click it if you're planning on seeing the movie in the theatre. Cloverfield monster footage
At the end of the movie it was all quiet in my theatre too, then I broke the silence by saying "Well, I want my money back". Most of the theatre agreed with me too. Ive never been to a movie (except Cloverfield) where most of the theatre disliked the movie haha.
Just back from the theater, I quite liked the movie. I don't see what the whole hubbub about the monster is, I thought it was pretty cool as far as city-killing, people eating, mysterious monsters go. The camera didn't bother me, I was expecting it to be really bad, (See: the beginning of I Am Legend) but it was more restrained and added the the "home movie" effect. I didn't like the lack of information given out about the monster, J. J. Abrams deserves to be forced to sit through all of Lost without knowing what the hell is going on, cause thats what he does to every single person who sees his movies. I really hate that guy! Also, the ending is legitimately crappy, they really couldn't have made it much worse.
I liked the way they did it with the camera, no doubt on that. But just a lot of it lacked. You know.
Well, J.J. is known for screwing up the endings, so I guess all this Cloverfield crap should tell us that Lost ending will be crappy too...
spoilers** I thought it was awesome the hand held camera and the government stuff at the beginning made me feel like an agent with top secret clearance. The end was cool up to the chopper crash, felt real, but when they said there goodbyes it was kinda stupid cause who the hell would stay there when they could run. retarded voice-Mer the armys gonna drop a bomb right here i wanna stay and say by by Also the sound was omg awesome, the whole theater was rumbling especially when the army attacked right over cameraman. I give it     out of 5
*Spoiler Alert* I Saw cloverfield the other night and I think that it was a great concept. I do have a few discrepancies with the movie. 1. The Camera - While it was a nice idea I missed a lot of things I wanted to see becuase A. he was to busy running to record B. Motion Blur C. Waiting for the camera to Focus D. He just didn't look in time to capture the detail. 2. The Girl - I think that the hole entire audience was stunned when it seemed like she just came back to life after she was impaled for all that time. 3. The monster - What is it and where the hell did it come from? (Vital information to me) 4. The ending - I was really lost when the movie was over. I kinda felt like maybe they shuold have tried to run. If not it would have been really nice to know if they really killed the monster. I mean they say they were gonig to blow the whole city but you know that something could terribly go wrong like when they were in the helicopter.
SPOILER!! Theres actually apparently some type of recording or something at the end of the movie that if you play it backwards it says that its still alive. That is just a rumour my friend read on the internet, and I dont know if its true because I couldnt stand being in that theatre for another minute. Even the credits sucked.
it was sort of like the blair witch project, but it was okay for me , not good, not great, but OKAY like a "c" although i did like some parts though, i won't spoil it until more people watched it, but i hated the shakey camera, theater even passed out barf bags.
