Clone a disk

Hi there,

I have a HDD with windows 7. It is a small disk with poor performance and i would like to upgrade to a bigger and faster disk that i own. Before i go and install windows 7 and all programs on a new disk i was wondering, would it be possible to clone that old disk to a new disk and therefor avoid all the reinstalling of programs ? And if there is, is there a simple procedure or will it be easier to just reinstall windows ?

i think the op was also after opinions on if it was possible and maybe the pro's and con's if doing a clone of the drive which would be a little more helpfull than just a google link.

another vote for HD Clone from Miray.
very good and their GUI is the most intuitive and clean.(german stuff)
